5. HAVE YOU LOOKED AT OUR WEBSITE?  www.english-martyrs.co.uk  You will be surprised at the amount of information that it contains, not least the Newsletter including ‘Father Liam says’.  In ‘What’s On’ you will find details of all the Easter Services.  Quite apart from its usefulness we also need to move it up the ‘Google’ List so that potential visitors to our church will be able to find it easily.  You can help us achieve this by searching for us.  While you are on-line why not take a look at Trip Advisor – you might be pleasantly surprised!

6. THE LENTEN ALMS BOX is in the front porch next to the main door. The proceeds are sent to the Contemplative Orders of women in the Diocese

7. MARY’S MEALS: We are now in particular need of Colouring pencils, crayons and if you no longer need items of school uniform that still have ‘life’ – those too!

8. VACANCY FOR LIVE IN CARER, GORING-BY-SEA  to look after able bodied but blind 94 year old lady with slight dementia.  A patient, caring, energetic person with good experience and CRB Certificate, is required for all aspects of personal care and general household duties.  Generous salary and good Terms and Conditions of employment.  Please telephone Michael Thompson – 01243 264402

9. WORTHING CHURCHES HOMELESS PROJECTS feed, on average, 80 people every day and so food is a commodity that they are always in need of.  This month the particular need is for Coffee, Sugar,
Tinned fish, Fruit juice, Cereal, Men's shoes/boots (second hand), Sleeping bags (second hand)
Many thanks to all those who help by placing goods for WCHP in the box in the West Porch – it is much appreciated.

JUST A THOUGHT: LENT by Stephen Cottrell

‘Lent is supposed to be a time when we review our spiritual life, reflect again about what it means to be a follower of Christ, reset the compass of our discipleship and prepare to celebrate the Easter Festival – but often we just give up biscuits!’
